The founding shareholder of the firm, Loren received his B.A. and M.A. in Accounting from New Mexico State University and a J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. His 30 years of international and domestic experience play a major role in our approach to tax and business consulting services. By using coordinated legal planning, tax planning, and business risk management solutions, Loren and his team can anticipate opportunities and develop innovative, flexible solutions for our clients.
Gene McCain is an attorney and a CPA. He combines these two fields as he works in the areas of business and tax planning and tax controversies. He has over 30 years of experience in the legal and accounting disciplines, representing small to mid-sized businesses and their owners. He has managed a variety of legal areas including federal, international and state taxation, as well as business entity structuring, asset protection , buy-sell agreements and estate planning.
Cassandra earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Houston Law Center. Her practice focuses on providing tax efficient strategies to clients as well as representing and advocating for clients under IRS examinations and appeals. Cassandra is also fluent in Vietnamese.
Julie facilitates corporate communications and organizes special events for Cook Legal Group, LLLP. She received her B.A. in Elementary Education from Nicholls State University. Prior to joining Cook Legal Group, LLLP, she spent 15 years working in the hotel industry.
Susan coordinates international services and logistics for Cook Legal Group, LLLP. She received her A.B. Economics degree from the University of Santo Tomas and an M.B.A. Honors degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. Prior to joining Cook Legal Group, LLLP, she held various coordinating roles and administrative functions for an international development bank based in Manila.
