Gene McCain is an attorney and a CPA. He combines these two fields as he works in the areas of business and tax planning and tax controversies. He has over 30 years of experience in the legal and accounting disciplines, representing small to mid-sized businesses and their owners. He has managed a variety of legal areas including federal, international and state taxation, as well as business entity structuring, asset protection , buy-sell agreements and estate planning.
He has an extensive background dealing with the IRS and various States for tax controversy matters. He has experience with these parties ranging from audits, installment agreements and offers in compromise to appeals and litigation.

- Presided over Multi-million-dollar IRS audits.
- Negotiated $600,000 of back taxes down to $5,000.
- Obtained 501(c)(3)) group exemption from IRS for non-profit organization with 20+ chapters located in various cities.
- Represented multiple clients in IRS and State audits, including taking cases to administrative appeals, court trials and court appeals.
- Estate and income tax planning for U.S. and Non-U.S. individuals and businesses, including topics such as 1031 property exchanges, accumulated earnings tax, branch profits tax, source withholding, and partnership special allocations.
